The DNM fork uses a preload adjustment knob on the left side to control the initial stiffness of your front suspension. The left fork leg contains a greased coil spring with a preload adjuster at the top—there is no Schrader valve. If your left fork leg has a valve, it is the air spring version and differs in construction. The preload knob does not alter the spring’s overall rate; it only adjusts the force required to start compression. The right fork leg contains the damping cartridge, ensuring smooth suspension performance. The fork’s preload knob does not change the spring’s overall rate but adjusts the force needed to begin compression.
